Control System Modernization
Outpost Engineering helps replace obsolete PLC equipment with current-generation hardware, update programming to the software aligned with the new platform, and plan the work around the realities of outages, turnarounds, and live production constraints.
We can support a full system swap during a scheduled turnaround or develop phased conversion paths that reduce downtime, use a short outage for critical hardware changes, and allow portions of the migration to continue online.
We can also support conversion paths to different platforms when that better fits the plant standard or long-term support strategy.
If your team has programming standards, we will follow them. If not, we will use formatting and structure common throughout industry and can provide a concise standardization document so the converted system is easier to maintain after startup.
